A little silicone resin emulsion paint goes a long way.

High-quality silicone resin emulsion paints have very good hiding power. Accordingly, a small quantity will go a very long way. The paints are supplied ready-to-use in various container sizes. Depending on the kind of substrate and how absorbent it is, consumption averages between 150 and 250 ml/m². Rough surfaces may require more. We recommend painting a test area to determine the exact consumption.

Silicone resin emulsion paints have a long shelf life

The viscosity and storage stability of a SREP is influenced by the pigments, fillers, solvents, binders, additives and defoamers it contains. Different formulations produce different results. High-quality SREPs are characterized by a long shelf life and highly consistent viscosity. Paints stored in the original closed containers on pallets or wooden floor grids will keep for up to 12 months without any sedimentation or processing impairment.

Ecological disposal of silicone resin emulsion paints

Do not dispose of liquid paint residues via the sewage system. Allow them to dry out and then discard them as household waste or as rubble. Solvent-based paint residues must always be treated as hazardous waste. Since 1994, silicone resin emulsion paints have been available in recyclable containers. According to a survey conducted by the Fraunhofer Institute of Material Flows and Logistics in Dortmund, Germany, these non-reusable containers – of which 50 % are recycled – are ecologically equivalent to reusable containers that can be used five times.
